Book Kokane
A signature voice of West Coast G-Funk, known for expressive vocals, melodic hooks and a catalog of influential collaborations.
About Kokane
Jerry B. Long Jr., professionally known as Kokane, was born in the Bronx and raised in Pomona, California. Immersed in music from an early age, he developed a style that moves naturally between rapping, singing and P-Funk-inspired melody.
Kokane signed with Ruthless Records at the end of the 1980s and became closely connected with Above the Law during the rise of G-Funk. His debut album, Addictive Hip Hop Muzick, arrived in 1991, followed by a career spanning solo releases, soundtracks and collaborations across generations.
His unmistakable voice has appeared alongside artists including Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, E-40, Too Short, George Clinton and Bootsy Collins. He later founded Bud E Boy Entertainment, continuing his work as an independent recording artist, songwriter, producer and executive.
